Livingston High School Athletes Walk the Runway at Fashion Show

Livingston High School students were dressed to the nines Tuesday as they took to the runway raybanforsala for the annual Lancers Fashion Show.

Hundreds of people and students packed into Livingston High School Tuesday night to see debonair and dapper students strut their stuff in the Big L Club’s senior athlete fashion show, which kicks off the countdown to graduation for the class of 2013.

Senior student Max Shevrin, who roaming the hallways with with friends shortly before the fashion show began, said he was excited about getting up on stage.

“I thought it was cool to be part of the senior class,” said Shevrin. “Obviously it’s our last year in high school, so I thought it would be a good time to get together with all the other student athletes around the high school and participate in one giant event.”

It was also a banner year at the fashion show with more than 80 senior athletes participating. Put on by the high school sports booster club, the night began with the township’s annual Taste of Livingston. Parents and students had an abundance of delicious foods to savor which were supplied by more than 40 local restaurants. Contributing to the fundraiser was also a tricky-tray featuring gifts donated by local businesses.

Leading up to the fashion show, senior students choose their wardrobe from local businesses, who fitted and altered the clothes.

Livingston High School Principal Mark Stern was also gallantly dressed for the occasion. Sporting a white bow-tie and black jacket with coattails, Stern was wearing clothes a Livingston gentleman would have worn 200 years ago at the time of its founding.

Vice President of the Big L Club Anna Pence said the fashion show is a much anticipated event ray ban for sale at the school.

“The kids wait until their senior year to get on stage,” said Pence. “It’s a really great ending to their senior year.”

In addition, the fashion show begins the march toward graduation. Next on the seniors’ agenda is prom, then the senior dinner and finally graduation.

“This is the seniors’ last coming together before they graduate and they go off to their respective colleges,” said Pence.

Tuesday also marked the Big L Club’s largest fundraiser of the year, and is expected to raise about $10,000. The night of fundraising will go toward at least 10 $1,000 scholarships the Big L Club will give to deserving graduating senior athletes at the end of the year.

Grabbing a bite to eat before she took the stage, senior high school student Meaghan Annett, who will be attending Tuffts University in Massachusetts in the fall, said she and her friends have attended previous fashion shows over ray ban sunglasses the cheap ray ban years and they were excited to finally get their chance to be in the spotlight.

“We thought since it was our senior year it would be a great way to leave off and it’s one last thing to do before college,” said senior Ariel Shafir, who will be attending Pennsylvania State University in Pennsylvania in the fall.
